We will be having an all team practice this Friday in the JET room from 3:10-5:00pm for those interested. We will be investigating forces in microgravity by using the scientific method. Practices are meant to be educational as well as to help students learn and put to use the core values of the FLL program. We would like to see everyone there as we are building next years teams. The current 8th graders are a tremendous resource for our future teams and we appreciate their williness to mentor our younger teams.

Build a Bridge Competition 2012

The Jordan Engineering Team took four teams to the anual Build a Bridge competition at the Putnam Musuem on Saturday February 11th. This is an anual event. Our teams did extremely well and our students worked very well together with just a few fingers and lips being glued togehter in the process! In all it was a good learning experience and a fun day for everyone! Everyone walked away with a better understanding on the construction and engineering of bridges and I am sure next time they are in a car on a bridge they will be thinking about the structure….they may even ask you to drive a little faster! We will be posting pictures so check back!!!!

Tek-Air Systems, Inc. has agreed to sponsor JET!

Tek-Air Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of critical environment airflow control products, has agreed to sponsor the JET teams.  They will be providing shirts for the students and coaches for the 2011 Food Factor season.  A large thank you very much to Tek-Air Systems, Inc. from JET and Jordan Catholic School.  Without support from companies like yours our team would not be possible.

JET Center for Technology opens in August 2011

JET Room

JET will have their own dedicated room and it should be finished and ready to use for the upcoming 2011 Food Factor Season.  This is great news as the success of our past teams has sparked great interest and we are expanding to two teams for next year.  The room will be the perfect place for a team learning about engineering and technology to gather and excel.  It will also be a showcase for both the team and the school giving us the capability to demonstrate to visitors and other schools our desire to cultivate young students that will be at the top of their game.

Welcome
